FOOD SECURITY
Impact
Food insecurity is a significant and growing concern both in Canada and globally. In Canada, the prevalence of food insecurity has risen from 12.9% in 2021 to 16.9% in 2022, indicating that nearly one in six Canadians experienced difficulties accessing sufficient food. Globally, approximately 733 million people faced hunger in 2023, equating to one in eleven individuals worldwide, with the situation being more severe in Africa, where one in five people were affected.
The Food Security Program is committed to addressing this issue by supporting over 40,000 individuals per year, across Canada through a national food bank, ensuring those in need receive essential food supplies. Internationally, the program extends its reach to 4,000+ villages across 15+ countries, providing fresh meat, emergency food hampers, and long-term hunger relief initiatives. By tackling food insecurity both locally and globally, this program offers hope, sustenance, and stability to vulnerable communities around the world.

Feeding the Hungry, A Lifeline for Communities
Internationally, the Food Security program is dedicated to fighting hunger in underprivileged communities across Africa, South Asia & South America by providing nutritious meals and fresh meat to families in need. Many communities face food insecurity due to economic hardships and limited resources, making access to protein-rich food a challenge. Through this initiative, we ensure that vulnerable individuals, including children, seniors, and struggling families, receive essential nourishment, improving their health and well-being. By delivering sustainable food aid, we aim to bring hope, dignity, and relief to those who need it most.
